Japanese convinence stores start offering plug points for EV’s

Actually this is news is about a year old by now but I finally got around to taking a picture of this at my local Lawson. For those who don’t know, Lawson is a Japanese continence store chain. It happens to be one of the largest chains in the country with over 8000 stores nationwide. As part of a corporate responsibility campaign, Lawson is planning to switch about 10% of its corporate vehicles to electric vehicles and increase this ratio over time.

Furthermore Lawson has begun to offer electric charging points at the parking lots of its stores as seen in the above and below images. The vehicles that Lawson currently uses are iMiEV’s from Mitsubishi, however the charge points should be compatible with other popular plugin’s like Toyota’s Prius.
